Blog Post Three: Pork Chops

Remember a receipt is a guide, make it your own and adjust it to your taste.

1 Pork Chop per person, 10 minutes prep, 25 minutes cooking time

Thinly sliced Pork Chops (you can use the thicker ones once, but they have a tendency to dry out)

  • 1         Egg

  • 1/3 cup   Half & Half

  • Plain Breadcrumbs

  • Butter

  • Salt & Pepper

Mix together the egg and Half & Half in a shallow dish with salt & pepper

Pour breadcrumbs in a separate shallow dish

Heat a frying pan, add butter, tbs at a time

Once the pan is hot, make sure the butter does not burn. Put a pork chop in the egg mixture, then into the breadcrumbs and into the pan with the butter. Fry 2-3 minutes until golden brown; you may need to add more butter, flip, and salt the brown side.

Repeat until all the pork chops are done. If you make more than you have pans, put them in the oven at around 200 Fahrenheit to keep warm.

These are generally served with Home Fries and Cucumber Salad, for which receipts are also available on the blog.
