Blog Post One: Cucumber salad

Remember a receipt is a guide, make it your own and adjust it to your taste.

Serves 4 People  About 10 min prep, 1 hour in fridge

  •             1                      English Cucumber – sliced thin with a mandolin

  •             1 cup               Sour Cream

  •             1 tbs                Apple Cider Vinegar

  •             2 tsp                Sugar

  •             1 tsp                Dried Dill

  •             ΒΌ                     fine chopped Onion

  •             Salt & Pepper to taste

Mix the sour cream, apple cider vinegar, sugar, dill, onion, salt, and pepper together in a bowl. It should be a little tart, but with a hint of sweetness. Adjust the vinegar & sugar to your taste.

It should be a little thicker than you would think regular salad dressing would be. Add the sliced cucumber and refrigerate for an hour at a minimum. The cucumbers will become more tender as they sit.

It will keep in the fridge for 2-3 days in an airtight container.

Goes well with the pork chops and home fries. A very German dinner!
